The City of Midland Dial-A-Ride is participating in the Universal Reduced Fare Card Program. This program is a pilot program between the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council and the Michigan Department of Transportation. The Universal Reduced Fare Card is a special card offered free of charge to seniors (age 60+) and to passengers with an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) qualifying disability. Passenger with the Universal Reduced Fare card will be able to present the card at participating public transit agencies throughout the state of Michigan and the card will allow them to travel with those agencies at the reduced fare price without having to complete any additional applications or paperwork to verify that they qualify for reduced fare.
How Do Passengers Obtain A Universal Reduced Fare Card?
Follow the steps below to obtain a Universal Reduced Fare Card:
Call the Dial-A-Ride office at 989-837-6940 and let your call taker know that you would like a Universal Reduced Fare Card.
Your call taker will verify that you qualify for the program.
Your call taker will provide you with basic information regarding the Universal Reduced Fare Card Program.
Your call taker will ask you for contact information including mailing information as the card will be mailed to you.
If you do not wish to have the card mailed, you can pick your issued card up at the Municipal Services Center at: 4811 N. Saginaw Rd. Midland MI, 48640.
