June 11, 2018 – Motorists on Waldo Road will see detour signs and construction activities as crews begin the S. Waldo Road street reconstruction project on Tuesday, June 12.
During construction, northbound traffic on Waldo Road will be detoured onto S. Saginaw Road beginning at Saginaw and ending at Bay City Road. Southbound traffic will remain on Waldo throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution through work zones.
The project, which includes traffic signal improvements and a reconstruction of S. Waldo Road from Bay City Road to S. Saginaw Road, comes ahead of the planned closure of S. Saginaw Road between Mark Putnam and Salzburg roads approved by Midland City Council in 2017. Construction is estimated to be completed in late September 2018.
