All City of Midland offices, including the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, the Sanitary Landfill, and Dial-A-Ride Transportation will be closed Friday, July 4th. The Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended as well.

Join Midland Parks and Recreation for the area’s greatest display of fireworks and entertainment! In 2014 we are going country! Butch Heath will kick off the night by taking the stage from 5:30-7:30pm and performing the country tunes you know and love. Steve Armstrong & The 25 Cent Beer Band are one of mid-Michigan’s premiere country bands who play in front of thousands of people around Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. The band has won a several individual and group awards and are ready to take Midland by storm! At dusk you can expect the crown jewel of the evening, the annual Fourth of July fireworks! The fireworks can be viewed from Emerson Park, Currie Municipal Golf Course, and Chippewassee Park near the Tridge. In addition to the fireworks, vendors will be on hand with your favorite food and beverages. Bring your friends, family and your lawn chairs! Rain Date, July 5, 2014
Refuse collection scheduled for Friday, July 4th will be collected on Monday, July 7th.
