MINUTES OF THE BARSTOW AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING

October 2, 2012

Commissioner Pollack called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

The minutes of the regular April 24, 2012 meeting were reviewed. It was moved by Siemer and supported by Senesac “to approve and file the minutes of the April 24, 2012meeting.” Approved (3/0)

The Monthly Manager’s Report Summary for April to June and July to September was presented and reviewed by JT Rairigh. Activity was up in the last few months but business flights were down. We have had better flying days than a year ago.

JT has been working on the snow plow blades and putting new tips on. The mowing was down this year with all of the dry weather. The snow blower needs new tires. We still have a waiting list for hangars.

OLD BUSINESS

Brian gave an SRE Building update. The building construction will start up soon.

NEW BUSINESS

2013 Meeting Schedule

We agreed to the attached meeting schedule. (Senesac/Siemer, 3/0)

MAP Meeting

Discussed the upcoming MAP meeting in Lansing on November 7.

EAA Promotional Videos

Discussed EAA promotional videos and agreed to show them at upcoming meeting. Brian will review them first.

Rule Change Discussion

Discussed some proposed rule changes to limit the size of gatherings at the airport that are not aviation related. Brian to propose updated language.
