MINUTES OF THE BARSTOW AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING

November 6, 2012

Commissioner Pollack called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

The minutes of the regular October 2, 2012 meeting were reviewed. It was moved by Siemer and supported by Janson “to approve and file the minutes of the October 2, 2012meeting.” Approved (5/0)

The Monthly Manager’s Report Summary for October 2012 was presented by JT Rairigh and discussed by the commission. Activity was down about 50% from the previous year mainly due to very high gas prices at about $5.50 gallon. There still quite a few students learning the flying profession.

JT has been working on the snow plow blades and putting new tips on.

It was moved by Janson and supported by Senesac to accept the activity report. (Approved 5/0)

OLD BUSINESS

Brian gave an SRE Building update. The building has come a long way in the last month and is expected to be complete in late December.

NEW BUSINESS

MAP Meeting

Discussed the upcoming MAP meeting that was held in Lansing on November 7. The meeting went well and MDOT agreed to combine our 2013 and 2014 pavement projects for construction in 2014.
