I. Call to Order: Green called meeting to order at 7p.m.
II. Minutes: September 14, 2011 approved as submitted.

Business:
a. CAAC Goals, 2011-12
1. Inform public about the benefits of MCTV – Midland Daily News will publish an op-ed piece about MCTV written by Bob Balwinski before Honors Night on November 17.
2. Video Franchising Laws-State Senate held a second public hearing on PA 480 in Lansing. ACM, MML, NATOA will offer amendments to the law.
b. Cable Communications Fund
Discussed year to date revenue and expenditures. Discussed the video on-line options and fees to increase revenue.
c. Friends of MCTV -
Magic Show was held October 8 & 9. The attendance was low compared to the previous time, approximately half. Profit was around $1000.
Bennigan’s Night – Oct. 13 was the Thursday after Magic Show. 20% of bill went to MCTV when flyer was presented. Profit was $130.
21st Annual Honors Night – Nov. 17, Dan Goodell will be the guest speaker. He’s a former intern.
Friends will also send out a year-end fundraising letter and they will hold a benefit concert in April 2012.
V. New Business –
Beacom will take on additional responsibilities with the Library starting, December 1, primarily Library Communications

MCTV’s Honors Night, Thursday, November 17, 7pm
Friends of MCTV 3r= Annual Shining Stars Talent Show will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 11am-4pm
