Election of Officers
It was moved by Karen Sherman and seconded by Sue MacKellar to nominate Randy Swierzbin for Chairman. Terrie Applegate was nominated for Vice Chair by Donna Gross, seconded by Karen Sherman. Hearing no additional nominations, the nominations were closed. Donna Gross moved to accept the nominations and elect the candidates as proposed. Karen Sherman seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Status Report on the Amendments to the
The acting secretary reported that the State Historical Preservation Office has not provided a response to the proposed amendments of the review process. Randy will contact Jon Lynch about the possibility of starting a dialogue with the State. We want to ensure they are clear that we are using the Secretary’s Standards as our criteria more closely now than before.
National Preservation Week
Preservation Week was
Donna Gross suggested resuming the “hospitality” activities of the district. There is a new family moving into the district. If Mark Ostgarden will assemble the packet, Donna and Terri Applegate will deliver the welcome packet. The HDC would like to be able to acquire the names of new people moving into the historic district from the deeds in the Assessor’s Office.
Photos of some of the historic properties need to be updated. The Maughon and Babcock properties have changed significantly and Donna’s house looks different from the back.
The HDC held a discussion regarding the expansion of the district. An informational brochure will be created to distribute to property owners surrounding the district, indicating the advantages of living in a Historic District. Once the district has been reaffirmed by City Council, there is some interest by property owners outside the district in becoming a part of the Historic District.
