Call to Audience
Rothhaar issued a call to the audience for items not on the agenda. There was no response.
Consideration of Picnic Shelter Fees
McGuire presented statistics on the picnic reservation program in 2005 and recommended continuance of the current fees.
The Commission questioned staff regarding public feedback
and specific instances of lower use such as
Motion by Lengerman, second by Jurado to recommend to City Council that the picnic shelter reservation program and prices be continued for 2006. Motion carried 6 – 0.
Project and Program Update
McGuire presented a program and project update highlighting
the opening of the Civic Arena and the
Commissioners commented on these projects and had questions
on other current departmental projects and programs. Discussion centered on the
In keeping with the Commission’s desire to learn more about the various divisions of the department, McGuire presented the attached information on the recreation division.
