CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

         All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

 *      1.      Approve minutes of October 4 special and regular City Council meetings.  KOVACEVICH

         3.      Zoning Petition No. 447 – to rezone property on the east side of Jefferson Avenue north of East Chapel Lane from Residential A-4 and B to Residential A-1 and A-2.  (Also see material sent in September 20 agenda packet.)  SCHROEDER

 

         4.      Zoning Petition No. 448 – to rezone property on the northerly side of Hidden Stone Court from Office-Service 2 to Residential A-1.  (Also see material sent in September 20 agenda packet.)  SCHROEDER      

 


         5.      Amendment to the 1998-99 Water Fund budget for unanticipated repair costs to an industrial pump.  (Also see material sent in October 4 agenda packet.)  BUSH

         6.      Accepting a donation of money from the Midland Lions Club and authorizing construction of a picnic shelter in Emerson Park.  MCGUIRE

 

*       7.      Naming the bandshell in Central Park the Ted Nicholson Bandshell.  MCGUIRE

 

*       8.      Granting request of the Midland Redcoats for City support of their bid for a National Softball Championship.  MCGUIRE

 

*       9.      Consideration of request for a dance permit in connection with the request from the VFW to add the Midland County Amvets as co-licensee in club licensed business with dance permit.  TISDALE

 

*     10.      Consideration of request to transfer ownership of a liquor license from Ruby Tuesday, Inc. to RT Michigan Franchise, LLC.  TISDALE

 

*     11.      Authorizing execution of a Dog License Sales Agreement between the City of Midland and the Midland County Treasurer.  KOVACEVICH

 

*     12.      Accepting a Sanitary Sewer Easement from Giant Super Market, Inc. for the construction of a new sanitary sewer on Isabella Street.  MCMANUS

 

       13.      Making Traffic Control Orders permanent:  MCMANUS

*                a.   S-99-09 - Midfield Lane shall yield to Joseph Drive.

*                b.   S-99-10 - West Baker Street shall stop for West Reardon Street.

 

       14.      Approving addition to the Carriage House located in the Midland County Historical Society area in Upper Emerson Park.  SCHROEDER

 

       15.      Giving tentative approval of the Preliminary Plat of Foxfire Subdivision No. 1, a residential subdivision of 35 lots on 44 acres south of West Wackerly Street and west of Dublin Avenue.  SCHROEDER

 

       16.      Considering purchases and contracts:
