6. Zoning Petition No. 452 – rezone a 25 foot strip of land running from Buttles to Ellsworth 180 feet northwesterly of Jerome Street from Office-Service 2 to Business B-1. (Also see material sent in January 31 agenda packet.) SCHROEDER

7. Zoning Text Amendment 137A to amend Article II—CONSTRUCTION OF LANGUAGE AND DEFINITIONS, Section 2.1, Definitions, to add the definition of Banquet and Conference/Meeting Facilities; Article XV—BUSINESS B-1, to add Banquet and Conference/Meeting Facilities as permitted uses, Article XI—COMMUNITY DISTRICT, Section 11.2, to modify setback requirements, and Article XXXIII—Administration and Enforcement, Section 33.3(a), to modify requirements for Certificates of Occupancy. ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS:

9. Ordinance to amend Chapter 7, Electrical Code, of the City of Midland Code of Ordinances: HARGARTEN

a. First reading of an ordinance adopting the Michigan Electrical Code, updated December 6, 1999, as the City of Midland Electrical Code in accordance with the State Construction Code Act.

b. Resolution authorizing execution of the “Notice of Intent to Administer and Enforce the State Codes” and “Notice of Adoption of the Michigan Electrical Code”.

RESOLUTIONS:

10. Directing the City Manager to request proposals for value engineering services, negotiate an agreement with Hubbell, Roth & Clark for sanitary sewer design engineering services and obtain a proposal and negotiate an agreement with Hubbell, Roth & Clark for a storm sewer improvement study. BUSH

* 11. Approving the request to waive the policy on subordination of a Community Development Block Grant Housing Rehabilitation Loan upon the refinancing of the first mortgage. SCHROEDER

* 12. Approving annexation of property on the east side of Perrine Road south of Letts Road from Larkin Township. SCHROEDER

* 13. Accepting six new streets into the City of Midland Local Street System as required by the Michigan Department of Transportation for Act 51 funding. MCMANUS

* 14. Approving the negotiated contract settlement between the City of Midland and the Midland Municipal Employees Association for a three year period expiring June 30, 2002. ISRAEL

* 15. Authorizing re-execution an updated Declaration of Restrictive Covenant for the City of Midland Landfill area with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Waste Management Division. BUSH

* 16. Approving request from Midbest, L.L.C. (Damon’s) to transfer partial interest in their Class C/SDM Liquor License located at 6801 Eastman Avenue. DUSO

* 17. Considering request to conduct Motorcyclist Rights Rally and Procession – June 3. DUSO
