            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

RESOLUTIONS:     

*          7.            Authorizing execution of purchase agreements for floodplain property at 920 Madison and 1116 Currie Parkway.  MCGUIRE

 

*          8.            Approving the negotiated contract settlement between the City and the United Steelworkers of America Local 14009.  ISRAEL

 

            9.            Authorizing execution of the First Amendment to Water Service Agreement between the City of Midland and Midland Township.  DUSO

 

*        10.            Recognizing the Center for Independent Living of Mid-Michigan as a non-profit organization in the community for the purpose of registering with the Charitable Gaming Division of the Michigan Lottery.  DUSO

 

*        11.            Recommending approval of the request from Levi’s to transfer ownership of a 1999 Class C licensed business with Dance-Entertainment Permit, located in escrow at 2929 S. Saginaw Road, Midland, from Brisson, L.L.C., with license to be held in escrow.  DUSO

 

*        12.            Considering proposed 2001 City Council meeting dates.  DUSO

 

          13.            Receiving and filing the Sanitary Sewer Improvements Basis of Design Report from Ayres, Lewis, Norris & May, Inc., authorizing the design engineer to proceed with the Final Design for the sewer improvements.  BUSH

 

*        14.            Recommending City of Midland participation in the Sturgeon Creek Drainage Basin Project and directing the City Manager to issue a letter of support for the Midland Conservation District’s grant application to the MDEQ.  BUSH

 

*        15.            Authorizing Change Order No. 3 to 2000 Miscellaneous Utility Extensions; Contract No. 19.  MAKI

 

*        16.            Approving a time extension for the construction of the sidewalk on the north side of Colorado Court.  MAKI

*                      a.            MDOT Contract No. 00-5297 – Pavement Overlay on Highway US-10 Bridge over Sturgeon Creek.  MAKI

*                      b.            2000 Wackerly Street Reconstruction; Contract No. 3.  MAKI

*                      c.            MDOT Contract No. 2000-0414– Purchase of two Dial-A-Ride buses.  MCGUIRE

*                      d.            2000 Midland Landfill Paving & Compost Pad; Contract No. 21.  BUSH

*                      e.            Construction of seven C.H.O.I.C.E. homes in the Hillside Subdivision.  MEYER

 

          18.            Revised Lease Agreement and Operating Agreement with Fast Ice, Inc. for third ice sheet facility at Midland Civic Arena:  MCGUIRE

                        a.            Rescinding Lease Agreement approved at August 28 Council meeting, approving revised Lease Agreement and authorizing execution of revised Lease Agreement.

                        b.            Authorizing execution of Operating Agreement.
