CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

*          1.            Approve minutes of December 4 regular and December 6 special City Council meetings.  KOVACEVICH

 

RESOLUTIONS:     

            2.            Approving Special Use Permit No. 9 for a special land use permit review and approval to conduct outdoor sales along the east side of the building at 3128 Jefferson Avenue, Gill-Roy’s Got-It Hardware Store.  (Public hearing was held on 12/4/00; action was postponed until 12/18/00).  LYNCH

 

            3.            Approving Site Plan No. 194, a 68-unit residential development in 34 buildings on 20.4 acres on the west side of Dublin Avenue north of North Saginaw Road.  LYNCH

 

            4.            Approving the Final Plat of Scenic Estates No. 6, a residential subdivision of 23 lots on 12.46 acres south of East Wackerly Street and east of Jefferson Avenue.  LYNCH

 

            5.            Discussing the 2001-02 City of Midland Budget Preparation Schedule.  FISHER

            6.            Approving the annexation of 48.3 acres on the east side of Dublin Road north of Airport Road from Larkin Township, through the Joint Resolution Process:  LYNCH

            7.            Amending the Homer Township Water Service Agreement.  DUSO

 

*          8.            Recommending approval of the request from Nar, Inc. (Valley Plaza Resort) to transfer ownership of stock in a B-Hotel licensed business with Dance-Entertainment Permit, located at 5221 Bay City Road, to Central Midland Corporation.  DUSO

 

*          9.            Approving an Easement to The Dow Chemical Company for the installation of utility poles and overhead wires on City property.  MCMANUS

 

*        10.            Granting authority to the City Manager or his designee to approve rental leases for aircraft hangars at Jack Barstow Airport.  MCMANUS

 

          11.            Making Traffic Control Orders permanent:  MCMANUS

*                      a.            P-00-08 – parking shall be prohibited on Sugnet Road within 50 feet of Swede Avenue.

*                      b.            P-00-10 – designates 20 spaces in City Parking Lot D as leased parking.

 

*        12.            Re-electing Karl S. Tomion and Herbert D. Doan to the City and County of Midland Joint Building Authority Board of Commissioners.  FISHER

 

          13.            Considering purchases and contracts:

*                      a.            Oils & lubricants – DPS.  MCGUIRE

*                      b.            Snake Creek Basin Tree & Brush Removal Contract.  MCMANUS

*                      c.            Sewer Liner Repairs Contract – Wastewater.  BUSH

 

*        14.            Setting a public hearing on a request from McKay Press, Inc. for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate within the expanded McKay Industrial Development District No. 1 relating to new facilities.  This project is for the purchase and installation of new equipment at the McKay Press, Inc.  The estimated total cost for this new facility is $6,235,133.  (1/8/01).  PAUL
