CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

*          1.         Approve minutes of September 10 regular City Council meeting.  KOVACEVICH

 

PROCLAMATIONS, AWARDS, RECOGNITIONS, PRESENTATIONS:

            2.         Report to the City Council on activities of the Midland Economic Development Council by Executive Director Jenee Velasquez.  TISDALE

 

            3.         Fire Prevention Week – October 7 – 13, 2001.  HARGARTEN

ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS:

            4.         Second reading and adoption of an ordinance amending Section 17-3 of Article I of the Midland Code of Ordinances to establish term limits of the members of the Parks and Recreation Commission.  (This item was tabled at the Sept. 10 meeting.)  BRANSON

 

           


            5.         First reading of an ordinance amending: 

                        a.         Section 22-1 of Article I of Chapter 22 of the Midland Code of Ordinances to provide for proper placement of Reflective Address Signs.  BRANSON

                        b.         Section 34-5 of Chapter 34 of the Midland Code of Ordinances to include violations of Section 22-1 of Article I of Chapter 22 as civil infraction violations.  BRANSON

 

RESOLUTIONS:        

            6.         Approving the Final Plat of Hearthstone Estates No. 3, a residential subdivision of 16 lots on 5.19 acres on the north side of Eastlawn Drive west of Roundtree Circle.  LYNCH

 

            7.         Considering purchases and contracts:

*                      a.         2001 Gerald Court Water Main Replacement; Contract No. 4.  MCMANUS

*                      b.         2001 Ashman Force Main Sewer; Contract No. 25, Change Order No. 1.  MCMANUS

*                      c.         Two tilt-cab trucks.  MCGUIRE

*                      d.         Tandem axle truck tractor.  MCGUIRE

*                      e.         Snow plow truck.  MC GUIRE

 

            8.         Setting public hearings:

*                      a.         2001 Bogel Drive Improvement Project (10/8).  MCMANUS

*                      b.         Request by McKay Press, Inc. to establish a Plant Rehabilitation District for property located at 215 State Street (10/8).  PAUL
