All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”. If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS:
3. First reading to an ordinance to amend Chapter 2, Article XIII, of the City Code of Ordinances to provide a Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) for Chippewassee Court Phase I, a proposed 11-unit residential housing project located west of Smith Street on the north side of Isabella Road in the City of Midland. * a. Authorizing payment to the appraisal firm of Terzo & Bologna, Inc. for contracted appraisal services in the defense of the assessment appeal by The Dow Chemical Company regarding three separate parcels. BRANSON
b. Authorizing payment relating to the City’s defense in the Dow Corning Corporation and The Dow Chemical Company’s appeal to the Michigan Tax Tribunal: BRANSON
* 1. Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone for contracted legal services.
* 2. Max Derbes & Associates and Baker & O’Brien for contracted appraisal services.
* 11. Setting
a public hearing to amend the City of Midland’s 2001-02 budgets and financial
working plans to recognize a decrease in the estimated amount of revenue from
investment earnings (1/28). FISHER
