CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

*          1.         Approve minutes of May 3 special, May 10 special and May 10 regular City Council meetings.  TISDALE

 

PROCLAMATIONS, AWARDS, RECOGNITIONS, PRESENTATIONS:

            2.         Recognition of 17 elementary and middle school children for outstanding work in creating Make Midland Beautiful posters.  YUERGENS

RESOLUTIONS:

            4.         Adopting the 2004-05 City of Midland Budget, establishing the millage rate, authorizing levy of additional mills of property taxes on property in the Downtown Development District, authorizing imposition of a tax administration fee, authorizing the imposition of a late penalty collection fee during the City’s 2004 fiscal year, and providing that all refunds resulting from the negative .68 mills for tax appeal contingency reserve reduction shall be deducted from the Tax Appeal Contingency Reserve with the General Fund.  KEENAN

 

            5.         Receiving and filing the Civic Arena Project report.  MCGUIRE

 

            6.         Approving Site Plan No. 240 for a proposed 14, 820 sq. ft. Walgreens Pharmacy and a 6,600 sq. ft. office building on 2.45 acres at the southeast corner of Eastman Avenue and N. Saginaw Road.  LYNCH

 

            7.         Receiving the draft of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and scheduling a public hearing on the plan for June 14, 2004.  MCGUIRE

 

*          8.         Accepting grants from the Midland Area Community Foundation and the Midland County Child Protection Council for the Midland Law Enforcement Safe Child Initiative.  ST. LOUIS

 

*          9.         Authorizing extension of pay and compensation for federalized employees.  SPEESE

 

*        10.         Receiving City Attorney report on the 2004 Sidewalk Improvement Program regarding Foster Road.  BRANSON

 

          11.         Considering purchases and contracts:

*                      a.         George Street Storm Sewer Improvement Contract Administration Services.  MCMANUS
