            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS:

            4.         Introduction and first reading of amendments to the City of Midland Code of Ordinances:  LYNCH

                        a.         Section 16-35 – Regulation of Hours of Business in Business “A” Zoning District.

                        b.         Section 21-10 – Public Property Vacation Fee and Section 21-29 – Zoning Fees.

                        c.         Section 25-2 – Prohibited Parking and Uses

 

RESOLUTIONS:

            5.         Receiving and filing staff report on Civic Arena project.  MCGUIRE

 

*          6.         Authorizing the Midland Lady Explorers Softball Club to charge admission for a softball exhibition on July 2, 2005 in Currie Stadium.  MCGUIRE

 

            7.         Accepting easements for:

*                      a.         Sanitary Sewer on the south side of James Savage Road east of Waldo Avenue from Judith Ann Rapanos.  MCMANUS

*                      b.         Sanitary Sewer on the north side of Isabella Road east of Sandow Road from Andrew J. Maier and Dana K. Maier.  MCMANUS

*                      c.         Sidewalks at the southeast corner of Joseph Drive and Jefferson Avenue from F/A Pnacek, Ltd.  MCMANUS

*                      d.         Water Main on the west side of Eastman Avenue south of Saginaw Road from Contemporary Medical Management, Inc. and County-Wide Builders, Inc.  MCMANUS

*                      e.         Underground conduit for the new Midland Civic Arena from Consumers Energy.  MCGUIRE

 

*          8.         Approving request to hold the ALS Benefit Walk on May 21, 2005.  DUSO

 

*          9.         Approving request from Decanters, LLC, for a Small Wine Maker License.  DUSO

 

*        10.         Recognizing George D. Goodman, Executive Director, Michigan Municipal League, on his retirement from the MML.  TOMION
