            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

*          1.         Approve minutes of March 21 regular City Council meeting.  DUSO

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

            2.         2005 Downtown Economic Revitalization Public Improvement Special Assessment District Public Hearing of Necessity (Also see material sent in March 21 agenda packet):  DUFORD

                        a.         Resolution approving necessity of a downtown economic revitalization program and directing the City Assessor to prepare a Special Assessment Roll.

                        b.         Resolution accepting the Special Assessment Roll and setting a public hearing on said Roll (4/25).

            3.         Receiving and filing the City Manager’s Proposed 2005-06 Budget and directing the City Clerk to publish a notice of public hearing on the budget.  KEENAN

 

            4.         Appointing George Biltz to the MBS International Airport Commission and the Aviation Advisory Commission and directing the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance amendment to provide 3 citizen and 2 pilot appointments to the Barstow Aviation Advisory Commission.  TOMION

 

            5.         Referring request to vacate E. Ellsworth St. from Haley St. to Third St., to vacate Lyon St. from E. Ellsworth St. to Buttles St., and to vacate Patrick St. from E. Ellsworth St. to Buttles St. to the Planning Commission, City Engineer and other departments for report and recommendation.  LYNCH

 

*          6.         Approving annexation request from Norman and Marinel Adams for property located south of E. Wheeler St. east of Liberty Dr.  LYNCH

 

            7.         Requesting federal legislative support for the continuation of the Community Development Block Grant Program.  LYNCH

 

*          8.         Accepting six new streets into the City of Midland Local Street System.  MCMANUS

 

*          9.         Making Traffic Control Order No. S-05-01 permanent – that Stop control shall be removed for eastbound Bay City Road at Pershing Street.  MCMANUS
