CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

*          1.         Approve minutes of December 5 regular and December 12 special City Council meetings.  TISDALE

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

            2.         Ordinance amending Section 30-5 of Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances to amend the Downtown Development Authority District Boundaries (Also see material sent in November 14 agenda packet).  O’CALLAGHAN

 

            3.         Ordinance amending the Downtown Development Authority Tax Increment Financing Plan and Development Plan No. 1 as amended (Also see material sent in November 14 agenda packet).  O’CALLAGHAN

 

            4.         Amend the 2005-06 budget of the Equipment Revolving Fund for the replacement of a police patrol car totaled in a recent collision (Also see material sent in December 5 agenda packet).  MCGUIRE

RESOLUTIONS:

            5.         Rejecting the 2005 Local Officers’ Compensation Commission Determinations as filed on November 22, 2005.  TISDALE

 

            6.         Adopting City Council’s Project Givens for the public process of the Eastman Avenue Traffic Study.  TISDALE

 

            7.         Making Traffic Control Orders permanent:  MCMANUS

*                      a.         P-05-16 – parking shall be prohibited on the west side of Swede Avenue from 250’ north of Haley Street to 250’ south of Eastlawn Drive.

*                      b.         S-05-09 – Midfield Lane shall stop for Joseph Drive and TCO S-03-11 shall be rescinded.

*                      c.         S-05-10 – Soccer Drive shall stop for Diamond Drive and TCO S-03-08 shall be rescinded.

 

*          8.         Receiving and filing quarterly financial statements of the City of Midland for the quarter ending September 30, 2005.  KEENAN

 

*          9.         Establishing the Nationwide Deferred Compensation Program for the Fire Fighters bargaining group.  WHITTINGTON

 

          10.         Considering purchases and contracts:

*                      a.         Traffic Consulting Services for 2006.  MCMANUS

*                      b.         Remodel of Fire Station #1.  GARCIA

 

          11.         Adjourning to a closed session to discuss a written opinion by the City Attorney as an Attorney-Client privilege document.  BRANSON
