CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:
All resolutions marked
with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one
motion. There will be no separate consideration
of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the
discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”. If there is even a single request the item
will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered
in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

3. Second reading and adoption of an
ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Article X of Chapter 21, to include
an annual fee amount of $250.00 per space for open lot leased parking spaces in
the downtown area. STRAYER

and first reading of an ordinance amendment:

a. Eliminate Section 21-3 of Article I of
Chapter 21 – Refuse Collection Fees.
b. Amend Section 21-4 of Article I of Chapter 21 – Yard Waste
Collection Fees.

5. Zoning Petition No. 563 – Earl D.
Bennett Construction – to conditionally rezone property at 204 Commerce Drive
from Larkin Township to Residential B zoning classification (4/5 vote
required). (Public hearing held Jan. 11;
tabled action until Jan. 25 and then postponed until Feb. 15). BAKER
6. Receiving a review of applicants to
current boards and commissions vacancies and appointing Council members to
conduct interviews and make recommendations for appointment. TISDALE
* 7. Recommending approval of the request from the Midland Country Club
to transfer location of their liquor license (new building, same address). DUSO
* 8. Recognizing the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (Shelterhouse) as a non-profit organization in the community
for the purpose of registering with the Charitable Gaming Division of the
Michigan Lottery. DUSO
* 9. Accepting Greg Adkins’ resignation from the Center City Authority. BAKER
* 10. Approving
request of the Lake Huron Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, to hang banners
on the City light poles in the downtown district from August 20 through October
30, to promote the 100 Year Anniversary of Boy Scouts of America. DUSO
