CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

            All resolutions marked with an asterisk are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate consideration of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests during the discussion stage of the “Motion to adopt the Consent Agenda as indicated”.  If there is even a single request the item will be removed from the consent agenda without further motion and considered in its listed sequence in regular fashion.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

*          1.         Approve minutes of April 11 regular and April 18 special City Council meetings.  TISDALE

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

            2.         City Manager’s Proposed 2011-12 Budget (Also see material sent in the April 11 agenda packet).  KEENAN

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS, IF ANY, BEFORE CITY COUNCIL.  (Please sign up with City Clerk before meeting).  This is an opportunity for people to address the City Council on issues that are relevant to Council business but are not on the agenda.

 

RESOLUTIONS:

*          3.         Appointing Rich Siemer to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term expiring June 30, 2013 and appointing Henry Holthof as an Alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term expiring June 30, 2014.  BAKER

 

*          4.         Authorizing the sale at public auction on May 7, 2011, of unclaimed personal property being held by the Police Department and other departmental surplus items.  MEYER


            5.         Pledging City support for the Midland Explorers Booster Club’s request to host the 2012 ISC World Tournament.  MURPHY

 

            6.         Indicating City Council support for Local Bridge Program Applications for Preventive Maintenance Funds for:  MCMANUS

*                      a.         Poseyville Road over the Tittabawassee River Bridge

*                      b.         Airport Road over the Sturgeon Creek Bridge

 

            7.         Considering purchases and contracts:

*                      a.         Used Sled Hill Groomer (4/5 vote required).  MURPHY

*                      b.         Plymouth Pool Deck Drainage.  MURPHY

*                      c.         2011 Surface Treatment and Crack Sealing; Contract No. 4.  MCMANUS

                        d.         Wholesale Water Service Agreement between the Saginaw-Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation and the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan.  BUSH

*                      e.         Purchase Order Increase for Engineering Support for the Landfill Gas-to-Energy Project.  BUSH

           

            8.         Setting a public hearing:

*                      a.         Request from Styron LLC for an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate within The Dow Chemical Company Plant Rehabilitation District No. 1 (5/9).  DUFORD

*                      b.         Proposed 2011-12 Community Development Block Grant Budget (5/9).  BAKER

*                      c.         Amendment to the 2010-11 City budgets and financial working plans (5/9).  KEENAN
