A special meeting of the City Council was held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Mayor Black presided.

Councilmen present: Drummond Black, Bruce Johnson, Hollis McKeag, James Myers, Joseph Rokosz

Councilmen absent: None

TERMINATION OF ANTENNA SITE LICENSE AGREEMENT

Utilities Director Noel Bush presented information on the City’s need to terminate its existing antenna site license agreement with Motient Communications Company. The following resolution was then offered by Councilman McKeag and seconded by Councilman Myers:

RESOLVED, that the City Attorney is hereby directed to terminate the existing antenna site license agreement with Motient Communications in accord with the provisions of the agreement. (Motion ADOPTED.)

DIAL-A-RIDE ADVISORY COMMISSION

Interviewed applicant Mary Laforet for the position of disabled community representative to the Dial-A-Ride Advisory Commission. The following resolution was then offered by Councilman Myers and seconded by Councilman Johnson:

RESOLVED, that Mary Laforet is hereby appointed as a representative of the disabled community to the Dial-A-Ride Advisory Commission for a term to expire June 30, 2006. (Motion ADOPTED.)

CABLE ACCESS ADVISORY COMMISSION

Interviewed the following applicants for the Cable Access Advisory Commission: George Widiger and Donald Diebert. The following resolution was then offered by Councilman McKeag and seconded by Councilman Johnson:

RESOLVED, that Linda Malekadeli is hereby appointed as an MCTV Access User to the Cable Access Advisory Commission for a term to expire June 30, 2006; and

RESOLVED FURTHER that Donald Deibert is hereby appointed as a citizen-at-large representative to the Cable Access Advisory Commission for a term to expire June 30, 2007 (Motion ADOPTED. Yeas: Johnson, McKeag, Myers, Rokosz Nays: Black)

PLANNING COMMISSION

Interviewed the following applicants for the Planning Commission: Bruce Kanuch, Donald Deibert, Jamie Bosscher, Tom McCann and William Eyre. The following resolution was then offered by Councilman Myers and seconded by Councilman McKeag:

RESOLVED, that Bruce Kanuch is hereby appointed as a citizen-at-large member to the Planning Commission for a term to expire June 30, 2006. (Motion ADOPTED.)

WEST MAIN STREET HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION

The following resolution was offered by Councilman McKeag and seconded by Councilman Myers:

RESOLVED, that Donald Deibert is hereby appointed as a citizen-at-large member to the West Main Street Historic District Commission for a term to expire June 30, 2007. (Motion ADOPTED.)
