A special meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, September 20, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall.  Mayor Black presided.

 

Councilmen present:

Drummond Black, Bruce Johnson, James Myers, Joseph Rokosz

Councilmen absent:

Hollis McKeag,

 

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM PRESENTATION

Assistant City Manager Jack Duso provided a brief background on Geographic Information System (GIS) technology.  He then introduced Jeff Kopcic, GIS director for the City of Saginaw and City of Saginaw GIS Analyst/Programmer Dan Sherman who gave a demonstration of the City of Saginaw’s GIS modules.

 

GTG Principals Curtis Hinton and David Holdstock then gave a presentation on the GIS Needs Assessment and Three-Year Implementation Plan developed by GTG for the City of Midland in 2003.

 

Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
