A special meeting of the City Council and the Library Board was held on Monday, November 21, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of Midland City Hall. Mayor Johnson presided.

Councilmen present:	Thomas Adams, Bruce Johnson, Hollis McKeag, James Myers, Joseph Rokosz
Councilmen absent:	None

Library Board Members present: Cherie Hutter, Ann Heard, Judy Stein, Kathleen Kinninsh, Marilyn Soules, Maxine Brink

Library Board Members absent: Stu Bush

JOINT MEETING BETWEEN THE LIBRARY BOARD AND MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL

Library Director Melissa Barnard introduced the Library Board members and reviewed the role and charge of the Library Board.

Library Board Chair Judy Stein reviewed the Library Board’s 2004-2005 Annual Report and reported on the library’s receipt of the State Librarian’s Excellence Award 2005.

Library Director Melissa Barnard reviewed the Library Statistical Report for 2004-2005 and reported on the Library Strategic Plan Overview.

Council held a discussion with the Library Board.

Being no further business the meeting adjourned session at 7:50 p.m.
