MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL
Regular meeting of the City Council was held Monday, October 5, 1998. Mayor Black presided.

Proclaimed the month of October, 1998 as Roller Skating Month in Midland.
Authorized a six month extension of an agreement with the Farbman Group to list the Circle Mall property and act as the Citys sales agent.
Waived competitive bids for the emergency repair for 2,100 feet of sewer on Waldo Avenue and authorized issuance of a purchase order to Insituform North for $94,500.
Received and filed the 1998 Financial Statements and Auditors Report for the Saginaw/Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation.
Authorized the execution of a deed transferring land to the Affordable Housing Alliance of Midland County.
Accepted and ordered recorded deeds from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation for property needed to construct the Northwood access roadway.
Authorized execution of a contract with Eric Construction of St. Charles, Michigan, for the "1998 Bradley Street Improvement; Contract No. 21", in the amount of $135,812.
Authorized payment of $62,000 to the Michigan Department of Transportation for costs associated with the acquisition of right of way necessary for the construction of the improvements to the US-10/Bay City Road Interchange.
Approved the request from the Youth Ministry of Blessed Sacrament for use of amplified sound during a prayer service on Saturday, October 17, 1998.
