Recognized Midland Public Elementary School Children for posters created for the Make Midland Beautiful Program.
Presented 1999 Weyant M. Pangborn Scholarship Awards to John Haag and Josh Dugger.
Proclaimed June 8, 1999 as Herbert H. Doan Day.
Held a public hearing and approved the special assessment roll for the 1999 Downtown Economic Revitalization Public Improvement Special Assessment District.
Held a public hearing and approved Zoning Petition No. 443 - rezoning property on the north side of West Wackerly Street west of Dublin Avenue from Residential A-1 to Office-Service 2. (Yeas: Coppage, Moolenaar, Wazbinski Nays: Black, Tysse)
Held first reading of an amendment to the City of Midland Filtered Water Rate Ordinance.
Held a first reading of an amendment to the City of Midland Sewer Rate Ordinance.
Reappointed Fred White, John Zimmerman and Claudia Wallin to the Downtown Development Authority.
Approved Site Plan No. 179 - Fountain Park Place on the south side of West Wackerly Street west of Schade Drive.
Approved the purchase agreement for the sale of a house at 3606 West Wackerly Street.
Extended Citys exclusive agreement with The Farbman Group to list the Circle Mall property and act as the Citys sales agent until August 15, 1999.
Authorized execution of an agreement which allows Meijer, Inc. to construct their own sidewalk included in the 1999 Sidewalk Improvement Program.
Made Traffic Control Order R-99-01 - establishing that left hand turns be prohibited from southbound Saginaw Road to Tucker Street permanent.
Authorized execution of an agreement establishing a school yard/park at Cook School and committed up to $7500 per year in City funds for three years to the project.
Authorized payment to Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone for contracted legal services relating to the Bay City Road Interchange Project.
Authorized execution of a contract, change order and quotation request for services with MDOT and Snowden, Inc. for pavement joint repairs on US-10BR/M-20 between US-10 and Saginaw Road.
Waived competitive bids and extended last years award for Calcium Oxide and Ferric Chloride treatment chemicals to Global Stone Detroit Lime.
Set a public hearing for July 12, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on the special assessment roll for the 1999 Sidewalk Improvement Special Assessment District.
Set a public hearing for July 12, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on Zoning Text Amendment No. 136A.
