Held a public hearing on the establishment of a Local Development Finance Authority for the City of Midland.
Held a public hearing on and approved the establishment of a Brownfield Redevelopment Authority in the City of Midland.
Held a second reading and approved an amendment to the City of Midland Filtered Water Rate Ordinance.
Held a second reading and approved an amendment to the City of Midland Sewer Rate Ordinance.
Authorized execution of the Sculpture and Landscape License Agreement with the Centennial Celebration Committee.
Accepted a gift from the Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation to the Downtown Development Authority in the amount of $100,000 for the Facade Rebate Program.
Approved annexation of property west of Vance Road north of Isabella Street from Homer Township through the joint resolution process.
Approved an extension of time for completing sidewalk in Scenic Estates No. 4 to April 1, 2001.
Approved an extension of time for completing sidewalk in Sterling Park Estates No. 9 until October 1, 2001.
Recommended approval of the request to transfer ownership of the liquor license of a B-Hotel Licensed Business located at 1815 S. Saginaw Road and reclassify the license to a Class C License.
Approved a resolution requiring staff to prepare an ordinance that would reconstitute the Cable Commission to the City Council as a policy level advisory body.
Authorized execution of a second addendum to the Purchase Agreement for the Kroger and Hooks Drug Store building between the City of Midland and RGS & Associates, Inc.
Accepted request from Midland Public Schools, Midland County Educational Service Agency, Bay City Public Schools and Bay-Arenac Intermediate Schools for a summer tax levy and authorized the collection of Special Assessment Installments and Accounts Receivable.
Postponed action on a request to refer the vacation of Eastman Avenue from the corner of Ripley and Ellsworth Streets to the corner of Larkin and Jerome Streets to the Planning Commission, City Engineer, Director of Public Services and Director of Utilities for review and recommendation until July 12, 1999.
Approved the purchase of new Local Area Network hardware and Personal Computer hardware and software in the total amount of $235,304.73, purchases to be made from ComputerLand, Computer Systems, Corp., Capital Communication Systems, Inc., CompUSA, Midwest Business Systems and Electronics Data Systems.
Approved contract between the City of Midland and EAP Coordinator Lona McLuckie for the period beginning July 1, 1999 to June 30, 2000.
Authorized purchase of two industrial tractors for the total cost of $30,223 from Gettel & Company of Linwood, Michigan.
Authorized execution of Amendment Agreement No. 98-0605/A1 between the City of Midland and MDOT.
Approved request of the Midwest Tandem Steering Committee to conduct the Midwest Tandem Rally 1999 - September 3 - 6, 1999.
Set a public hearing for July 26, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 444 - zoning property northwest of the intersection of Isabella Street and Sandow Road.
Set a public hearing for July 26, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 445 - rezoning property on the northerly side of West Baker Street westerly of Ashman Street.
Set a public hearing for July 12, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. on a request for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate for Industrial Controls, Inc.
Set a public hearing for July 12, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. on a request for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate for Mason-Loomis Industrial Electric, Inc.
