Held a public hearing on the 2000-01 Proposed Budget.
Held a public hearing and approved the Community Development Block Grant budget for fiscal year 2000-01.
Held a public hearing and approved the establishment of an Industrial Development District for W & W Tool and Die, Inc.
Held a public hearing and approved the establishment of an Expanded McKay Industrial Development District No. 1.
Held first reading of an ordinance establishing property known as “Theis Park” as a City Park.
Approved purchase agreement for the sale of C.H.O.I.C.E. house at 304 Bradley Road.
Approved Site Plan No. 190 for Gatehouse Manor, on the south side of East Wackerly Street east of Jefferson Avenue.
Designated Trailridge Drive as a public street in the City of Midland Local Street System.
Accepted financial grant from Target Stores for the purchase of a digital camera for the Midland Police Department Patrol Unit.
Authorized execution of an application for a corporate MasterCard in the name of the City of Midland to be used for purchases where payment of check is impractical.
Authorized execution of a contract with Kelcris Corporation of Williamston, Michigan for the 2000 US-10BR/M-20 Joint Repairs; Contract No. 18 in the amount of $284,729.50.
Awarded bid for annual supply of liquid calcium chloride to Liquid Calcium Chloride Sales of Kawkawlin, Michigan at a cost of $.0223 per gallon for 30% liquid calcium chloride and $0.306 per gallon for 38% calcium chloride.
Awarded bid for annual supply of sand to Chippewa Contracting, Inc. of Saginaw, Michigan at a cost of $2.00 per cubic yard loaded onto City trucks or $4.05 per cubic yard delivered.
Awarded bid for annual supply of concrete and related materials to Fisher Sand and Gravel, Inc. of Midland, Michigan per bid submitted April 18, 2000.
Awarded bid for paver-applied bituminous materials to Midland Contracting Company at a unit price of $90.00 per ton; awarded bid for hot mix bituminous materials to Valley Asphalt Company at a unit price of $27.77 per ton; and awarded bid for “Sylvax” patching materials to Midland Contracting at a unit price of $49.36 per ton.
Authorized purchase of calcium oxide from Detroit Lime of Detroit, Michigan at a cost of $72.75 per ton.
Awarded bid for the annual supply of road gravel to Briggs Contracting and Chippewa Contracting; awarded bid for annual supply of limestone to Briggs Contracting and Bay Aggregate; awarded bid for annual supply of recycled concrete to Briggs Contracting.
Set a public hearing for May 15, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. to show cause regarding the abatement of the dangerous building located at 309 E. Grove Street.
