Held a public hearing and approved an amendment to the 2000-2001 City budgets and financial working plans to provide for June 30, 2000 encumbrances.
Held a public hearing and approved four Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificates for The Dow Chemical Company.
Approved Zoning Petition No. 463 – rezoning property bounded by Eastman Avenue, Larkin Street and Ripley Street from Office-Service 1 to Business B-2. (Yeas: Coppage, Currie, Wazbinski Nays: None Absent: McKeag Abstained: Black)
Directed City Manager to take the necessary steps to accept property bounded by Jerome Street, Larkin Street, Eastman Avenue and Ellsworth Street from the Midland Economic Development Council. (Yeas: Coppage, Currie, Wazbinski Nays: None Absent: McKeag Abstained: Black)
Held first reading of an amendment to Section 15-133 of the City of Midland MCTV Ordinance.
Held first reading of an ordinance amending City of Midland Municipal Cemetery fees.
Gave tentative and final approval to the Preliminary Plat of Foster Woods.
Approved addendum to the Renewal and Amendatory Agreement between the City of Midland and the Downtown Office Center Limited Partnership.
Approved Contract Amendment No. 1 to Ayres, Lewis, Norris and May for the design of Sanitary Sewer System Improvements in the amount of $69,773.60.
Accepted sealed bid proposal of Valley Roofing of Bay City, Michigan in the amount of $91,870 for re-roofing of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.
Set a public hearing for November 20, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on Zoning Petition No. 469 – rezoning property north and east of the intersection of Isabella Street and Vance Road from Office-Service 2 to Business A and Business A to Business B-2.
Set a public hearing for November 13, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on an amendment to the 2000-01 Downtown Development Authority budget.
