A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, December 18, 2000.  Mayor Black presided with all Council members present.


Approved amended Special Use Permit No. 9 allowing Gill-Roy’s Got-It Hardware to conduct outdoor sales at 3128 Jefferson Avenue.


Approved amended Site Plan No. 194 for Forestridge Condominiums on the west side of Dublin Avenue north of North Saginaw Road.


Approved Final Plat of Scenic Estates No. 6 for Prodo, Inc.


Heard presentation on the budget preparation schedule for 2001-02 fiscal year.


Approved annexation of 48.3 acres on the east side of Dublin Road north of Airport Road from Larkin Township, through the joint resolution process.


Approved first amendment to the Water Service Agreement between the City of Midland and Homer Township.


Recommended approval of the request from NAR, Inc. (Valley Plaza Resort) to transfer ownership of stock in B-Hotel licensed business with dance entertainment permit to Central Midland Corporation.


Approved easement to The Dow Chemical Company for installation of utility poles and overhead wires on City property.


Granted authority to the City Manager or his designee to approve rental leases for aircraft at Jack Barstow Airport.


Made the following Traffic Control Orders permanent:

       P-00-08    Parking shall be prohibited on Sugnet Road within 50 feet of Swede.

       P-00-10    Designates 20 spaces in City Parking Lot D as leased parking.


Re-elected Karl Tomion and Herbert D. Doan to the City and County of Midland Joint Building Authority Board of Commissioners.


Authorized purchase of oils and lubricants for a one year period from Wolverine Oil & Supply Company of Gladwin, Michigan in the amount of $21,008.74.


Authorized execution of a contract with Consumers Energy in the amount of $120,000 for the clearing of trees and brush from the banks of drainage ditches along the Snake Creek drainage system.


Accepted bid submitted by Liqui-Force Services (USA), Inc. of Romulus, Michigan for a one-year sewer liner repairs in an amount not to exceed $50,000.


Set a public hearing for January 8, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments on a request from McKay Press, Inc. for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate.


Set a joint meeting with the Parks and Recreation Commission for January 8, 2001, at 6:00 p.m.
