A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, February 19, 2001. Mayor Black presided with all Council members present.
Held public hearing and approved Zoning Petition No. 471 – rezoning property on Lee Street from Residential A-3 to Residential A-4.
Held public hearing and approved Planned Unit Development No. 13 – The Village at Joseph’s Run.
Held second reading and approved an ordinance to amend Chapter 2, Article XIII, of the Code of Ordinances to Provide Payment in Lieu of Taxes for The Village at Joseph’s Run.
Authorized issuance of Sanitary Sewer Improvement General Obligation Unlimited Tax Bonds, Series 2001, in the principal amount of $15,800,000.
Received and filed the Value Engineering Report on the Sanitary Sewer System Improvements.
Received and filed the 2001 Annual Sidewalk Report.
Accepted the resignation of April Douglass from the Cable Access Advisory Commission.
Waived competitive bids and authorized agreement with Ameritech for discounted services under the CompleteLink program.
Authorized execution of Telecommunications License Agreement to Members First Credit Union for placement of fiber optics within the City of Midland.
Authorized execution of Telecommunications License Agreement to C2C Fiber, Inc. for placement of fiber optics within the City of Midland.
Set a public hearing for March 19, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. to consider Zoning Petition No. 475 – zoning recently annexed property on the east side of Dublin Avenue north of Airport Road.
Set a special meeting for May 14, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. to interview candidates for the 2001 Boards and Commissions.
Set a special closed meeting for February 26, 2001, at 4:00 p.m. for Quarterly Report on Pending Litigation.
