Proclaimed the week of November 3 – 10, 2001 as Together for Kids Week in Midland.
Held public hearing and approved the transfer of Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate 2000-035 from Mason-Loomis Industrial Electric to Precision Torque Control, Inc.
Held public hearing and approved the transfer of Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate 93-256 from Marion Merrell Dow, Inc. to The Dow Chemical Company.
Held public hearing and approved an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate for Quebecor World Pendell, Inc.
Held public hearings and approved two Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificates for The Dow Chemical Company.
Held public hearing and approved an amendment to the 2001-02 Community Development Block Grant Budget.
Held public hearing and approved an amendment to the 2001-02 Sanitary Landfill Fund Budget.
Appointed one member to the Planning Commission to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2004.
Appointed an alternate member to the Zoning Board of Appeals to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2002.

Approved revised timeline for completion of restaurant facility submitted by owner of the B. B. Banucks liquor license.
Recommended approval of request to transfer ownership of a 1999 Class C licensed business located in escrow at 2929 S. Saginaw Road, Midland, from Levi’s of Midland, Inc. to Genji Japanese Steak House, L.L.C.
Authorized execution of Grant of License Jerome Street Parking Lot Agreement and Driveway and Parking Lot Agreement with the First United Methodist Church.
Accepted Easement Agreements for sanitary sewer line and water main for Homestead Estates Condominiums.
Approved annexation of eight parcels located west of Stark Road between North Saginaw Road and US-10 Expressway from Homer Township, through the joint resolution process.
Postponed action on the 2001 Bogel Drive Improvement Special Assessment District until staff has resolved outstanding issues related to the project.
Pledged support for the 2003 Men’s Major Fastpitch National Championship.
Recognized the MidMichigan Visiting Nurse Association Hospice as a non-profit organization.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to J. Ranck Electric, Inc. for traffic and pedestrian signal installation at Jerome Street (M-20) and Buttles Street (B.R. US-10), in the amount of $22,316.
Authorized execution of Change Order No. 2 to the 2001 Jerome Street Parking Lot; Contract No. 5, in the amount of a net contract increase of $21,074.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Vollman Ford of Portland, Michigan, for the purchase of eight police cars, in the amount of $169,141.12.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Diesel Truck Sales of Saginaw, Michigan, for the purchase of a commercial refuse truck, in the net amount of $126,848.25.
Authorized payment to Plante and Moran, LLP for accounting services relating to the Dow Corning Corporation’s tax appeal, in an amount not to exceed $236,000.
Authorized payment to Plante and Moran, LLP for accounting services relating to The Dow Chemical Company’s tax appeal, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.
