Set a special meeting for March 25, 2002, at 5:00 p.m. for the second reading of ordinances establishing new ward and precinct boundary lines.
Referred amendments to Section 23-90 – Property Division of the Subdivision Control Ordinance to the Planning Commission for a report.
Approved deadline extension of two months for Site Plan No. 189 – a gas station/convenience store on the northwest side of Jerome Street between Ellsworth and Buttles Street.
Referred request to vacate walkway between Virginia Street and Carolina Street to the Planning Commission, City Engineer, Director of Utilities and Director of Public Services for review and recommendations.
Made permanent Traffic Control Order No. R-02-01 – establishing regulations pertaining to the operation of trucks and trailers on Eastman Avenue from Buttles Street to Ellsworth Street.
Established “The Gerstacker Sprayground” as the name for the sprayground waterpark near the Tridge.
Received and filed the City Manager’s Report on the status of liquor licenses in the City of Midland.
Approved resolution urging Michigan Legislature to support the increase in diesel fuel tax only if the additional revenue is distributed equitably based on the formula in 1951 Public Act 51.
Accepted easement agreements from Kohl’s Department Stores and Midland Place II for public water mains and sanitary sewers.
Authorized execution of contract with Stephen’s Aviation Services, Inc. of Midland, Michigan for Jack Barstow Airport operations.
Authorized execution of contract with Sova & Sons Contracting, Inc. of Midland, Michigan for the “2002 Wilson & Harding Street Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement; Contract No. 6”, in the amount of $378,685.
Authorized execution of contract with Sova & Sons Contracting, Inc. of Midland, Michigan for the “2002 Diamond Drive and Swede @ Wackerly Reconstruction; Contract No. 2”, in the amount of $237,064.30.
Approved an increase in the amount of $4,161.01 to contract with Dow-Howell-Gilmore for the Currie Golf Course Clubhouse Project.
Set a public hearing for April 22, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 487 – rezoning property north of N. Saginaw Road and west of Stark Road from Township Zoning to Business C, Office Service 2, and Residential A-1.
Set a public hearing for April 22, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 488 – rezoning property east of N. Eastman Road, north and south of Commerce Drive and west of Commerce Court from Township Zoning to Business B-2 and Business C.
