OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS

MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL

A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, October 13, 2003. Mayor Black presided with all Council members present.

Held a public hearing and approved the Dow Corning Corporation amended Brownfield Redevelopment Plan. (Yeas: Black, Currie, Griggs, McKeag Nays: None Abstained: Wazbinski)

Approved the final plat of Broadhead Estates No. 1.

Authorized the signing of a MSHDA certification form for the Affordable Housing Alliance of Midland County that recognizes AHA as non-profit and confirms approval of the site plan for Chippewassee Court Phase II.

Approved request from the Midland Downtown Business Association to close McDonald Street from Larkin to Main during the Pumpkin Festival on October 23, 2003.

Authorized issuance of purchase order to Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for sewer line repair from Haley to State Street, in the amount of $37,520.

Authorized issuance of purchase order to W. W. Williams of Saginaw, Michigan for standby generators for Smith Street and Moorland Drive Pump Stations, in the amount of $33,961.

Adjourned to a closed session to discuss pending litigation. (Yeas: Black, Currie, Griggs, McKeag Nays: None Abstained: Wazbinski)
