MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL
A regular meeting
of the City Council was held on Monday, November 20, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Johnson presided with all Councilmen present.
Held public
hearing and approved Zoning Petition No. 531 – rezoning property at 300 Joseph
Drive from Residential A-4 zoning to Office Service zoning.
Held first of an
ordinance amending Section 21-121 of Division 4 of Article VII to establish new
and increase existing Midland Community Television use fees.
Directed preparation
of a Dow Corning Renaissance Zone Application and a Draft Development Agreement
and set public hearing on said Application and Agreement for December 4, 2006,
at 7:00 p.m.
Directed
preparation of a Draft Public Act 328 Agreement with Dow Corning and set public
hearing on said agreement for December 4, 2006, at 7:00 p.m.
Received and filed
the 2007-08 Budget Preparation Schedule.
Received and filed
the Consumers Energy Tree Trimming Practices report.
Directed City
Manager to solicit bids for the demolition of the former Midland Civic Arena.
Approved budget
transfer of $35,000 from the General Fund Reserve for Contingencies to the
Airport budget for purchase of a fuel truck.
Authorized
execution of Water Main and Sanitary Sewer Agreement for Fast Ice Drive with
Rapanos Enterprises, Inc.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Technical Building Alliance of Saginaw, Michigan
for the Municipal Service Center Air Conditioning project, in the amount of
$34,875.
