A regular meeting
of the City Council was held on Monday, January 22, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Johnson presided with all Councilmen present.
Held public
hearing and approved the vacation of Buttles Street and Bay City Road,
including sections of Sixth Street, Jefferson Avenue and Pershing Street.
Held public
hearing and approved vacation of Midfield Lane from Soccer Drive to 430 feet
south of Joseph Drive.
Held public
hearing and approved amendment to the 2006-07 Major Street Maintenance Fund
budget for the Eastman Avenue Improvement Project.
Authorized City
Manager to approve Contract Amendment No. 7 to the DLZ Michigan, Inc. Agreement
for Professional Services, in the amount of $120,000.
Held first reading
of an ordinance to amend Section 34-5 – Municipal Civil Infractions.
Appointed Charles
McFarlane to the Board of Review for a term expiring on April 30, 2009.
Received and filed
the Voting Issues in Precinct 1-6 Staff Report.
Authorized
execution of contract with Robert C. Brandmier, Level IV Contract Assessor.
Named City Manager Jon Lynch as Transportation Coordinator and stated the City’s intentions to apply for Federal and State Operating Assistance.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Thompson Pump Midwest of Troy, Michigan for a Dry
Prime Trash Pump, in the amount of $22,199.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Engan-Tooley-Doyle & Associates of Okemos,
Michigan for the purchase of playground equipment, in the amount of $33,117.
Set public hearing
on Monday, February 26, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. on requested vacation of Austin
Street and Bay City Road, including sections of 18th Street, 19th
Street, 21st Street and Washington Street.
Set public hearing
on Monday, February 12, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. on proposed amendment to the 2006-07
Community Development Block Grant Budget.
Set public hearing
on Monday, February 12, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. on proposed amendment to the 2006-07
Washington Woods Fund budget.
Set public
hearings on Monday, February 12, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. on five requests from Dow
Corning Corporation for Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificates.
