MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL
A regular meeting
of the City Council was held on Monday, March 19, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Johnson presided with all Councilmen present.
Held second
reading and adopted an ordinance amending Golf Course Fees.
Authorized
execution of contract with Hamilton Anderson Associates for the Downtown
Redevelopment and Design Study, in the amount of $75,000 plus expenses not to
exceed an additional $3,000.
Accepted
one new street into the City of Midland Local Street System as required by the
Michigan Department of State for Act 51 funding.
Received and filed
the City Manager’s Annual Review of Class C, D, and Resort Liquor Licenses
Report.
Approved request
from the Downtown Development Authority to conduct a Tailgate Party on Friday,
April 13, 2007, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in downtown Midland.
Approved Site Plan
No. 257 – to construct a 41,310 square foot addition to an existing 133,000
square foot warehouse located at 2520 Schuette Road.
Received and filed
City Manager’s Report concerning Special Assessment District improvements for
the Shopping Area Redevelopment Act (SARA) Assessment District and set a public
hearing of necessity on Monday, April 23, 2007 on said proposed improvements.
