reading and adopted an ordinance amending Section 34-5. Municipal Civil
Infractions.
Received and filed
report on the George Street Traffic Study.
Directed City
Attorney to approve deed and accepted property from the Michigan Department of
Transportation as part of the right-of-way for Airport Road at Stark Road.
Appointed David A.
Keenan as officer delegate and Paula J. Whittington as alternate delegate, to
attend the MERS annual meeting.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Magazine Subscription Service Agency for
periodical and newspaper subscription services for the Grace A. Dow Memorial
Library, in an amount not to exceed $23,000.
Waived bids and
authorized issuance of purchase order to Valley Library Consortium for
Automation Services for the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, in an amount not to
exceed $95,000.
Waived bids and
authorized issuance of purchase order to Thomson Gale for Electronic Online
Services and Materials for the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, in an amount not
to exceed $45,000.
Waived bids and
authorized issuance of purchase order to Mideastern Michigan Library
Cooperative for services for the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, in an amount
not to exceed $35,000.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Hewlett Packard Company for computers, in the
amount of $66,615.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to TechDepot for computer monitors, in the amount of
$25,532.88.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to CDW Government for computer software, in the
amount of $80,764.20.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc. of Bay City,
Michigan for furnishing catch basin castings and related materials, in an
amount not to exceed $25,000.

increase to existing purchase order to Easton Sports, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia
for hockey shop inventory items, in an amount up to $60,000.
Authorized
increase to existing purchase order to Graf Canada, Ltd. of Calgary, Alberta
for hockey shop inventory items, in an amount up to $25,000.
Authorized execution
of Michigan Department of Transportation Cost Agreement for Traffic Signal
Control.
Authorized
execution of Michigan Department of Transportation Contract No. 07-5286 US-10BR
(Eastman Avenue) Street Lighting.
Authorized
execution of contract with Pat’s Gradall Service, Inc. of Midland, Michigan for
the “2007 Laughton & Welch Street Improvement; Contract No. 13”, in the
amount of $210,931.

issuance of purchase order to Spicer Group for Construction Inspection Services
for various projects, in the amount of $40,000.

issuance of purchase order to Etna Supply Company for Mechanical Joint

on August 13, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 542 – rezoning property

amendment for the Midland Cogeneration Venture tax appeal refund.
