Held public
hearing and approved Zoning Text Amendment No. 145A to add Child Care Centers
as a principal permitted use and structure in the Office Service District.
Held public
hearing and approved Conditional Use Permit No. 24 to allow a child care center
in an RA-1 Residential district at 2515 Ashman Street.
Held public
hearing and approved the 2007-08 City budgets and financial working plans
amendment to provide funding for June 30, 2007 encumbrances.
Received and filed
update on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s request for information.
Approved Site Plan
No. 261 – Communications Family Credit Union.
Approved purchase
agreement for the sale of a 29 foot vacant parcel of land at 308 Kent Court.
Authorized the
sale of surplus city equipment at the annual auction on September 15, 2007.
Confirmed
appointment of Thomas Fleming as the Resident Representative to the Downtown
Development Authority.
Authorized
execution of contract with Pat’s Gradall Services, Inc. of Midland, Michigan
for the “2007 Sturgeon Creek & State Drain Storm Sewer Outlet Repairs;
Contract No. 15”, in the amount $74,400.
Waived bids and
authorized issuance of purchase order to Doc Heinz Contracting of Saginaw,
Michigan for the purchase and delivery of 17,000 cubic yards of washed
classified foundry sand, in the amount of $48,450.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to Municipal Supply Company of Luzerne, Michigan for
Water Distribution brass fittings replacement stock, in an amount not to exceed
$21,500.
Set public hearing
for Monday, October 22, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. on the requested vacation of George
Street between State Street and Jefferson Avenue.
