A regular meeting
of the City Council was held on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Johnson presided with all Councilmen present.
Proclaimed
September 17 – 23, 2007 as Constitution Week in Midland.
Proclaimed October
1 – 31, 2007 as Roller Skating Month in Midland.
Held public
hearing and approved Zoning Petition No. 544 rezoning property at 2009, 2021,
2025, 2105, 2111, 2113 Jefferson Avenue from Residential A-04 to Community.
Approved Site Plan
No. 263 – Industrial Manufacturing building located at 1905 Mark Putnam Road.
Approved Site Plan
No. 265 – Fitness Center at 601 E. Wackerly Street.
Established the
2008 regular meeting dates for the Midland City Council.
Authorized
issuance of purchase order to J & D Plumbing and Heating of Sanford,
Michigan for the purchase and installation of two boilers at Riverside Place,
in the amount of $28,870.
Authorized
execution of contract with Crawford Contracting of Alma, Michigan for the “2007
Cinema Drive & Plymouth Park Drive Reconstruction; Contract No. 9”, in the
amount of $137,886.20.
Authorized
increase to existing purchase order for Commonwealth Solutions of Livonia for
software improvements, in the amount of $14,590, brining the total purchase
order to $34,460.
Set public
hearings on five requests from The Dow Chemical Company and one request from
Dow ArgoSciences, LLC for Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificates.
