MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL

A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Adams presided.

Councilmen present:	Thomas Adams, Maureen Donker, Hollis McKeag, Joseph Rokosz
Councilmen absent:	Bruce Johnson

Held public hearing and approved the establishment of Faulkner Construction Company Industrial Development District No. 1.

Received and filed a report on the 2009-10 Budget Roundtables scheduled for October 7-10, 2008.

Received and filed Fuel Economy and Alternative Fuels Report.

Authorized execution of First Amendment to the Water Service Agreement with Water District No. 1 of Midland County.

Confirmed appointment of Keith Winter to the Downtown Development Authority.

Authorized sale of surplus city equipment at the annual auction on September 20, 2008.

Accepted donation of $7,100 from Fast Ice for improvements at the Civic Arena.

Authorized issuance of purchase orders for snow and ice control salt through the State of Michigan Extended Purchasing Program.

Waived bid requirement and approved purchase of 13,400 gallons of unleaded fuel from Mansfield Oil for $41,286.74 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on August 27, 2008.
