MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL
A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Donker presided with all Councilmen present.
Received draft of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and scheduled a public hearing on the plan on Monday, March 8, 2010.
Revised Sec. 11-B-3 of the Park Rules and Regulations.
Adopted a deficit elimination plan for the Currie Municipal Golf Course.
Accepted donations to fund development of an operational and business plan for the Currie Municipal Golf Course.
Received and filed the 2010 Annual Sidewalk Report.
Received and filed the 2010 City Manager’s Report on the Annual Review of Class C, D, and Resort Liquor Licenses.
Accepted Easement Agreement from Midland Equities, LLC for public water mains on private property at the Apothecary Shoppe on Fast Ice Drive.
Approved annexation of property located at 1321 E. Wackerly Road from Lincoln Township through the joint resolution process.
Confirmed appointment of Christine Rapanos to the Center City Authority for a term to expire June 30, 2013.
Recognized Midland Area Homes as a non-profit organization for the purpose of registering with the Charitable Gaming Division of the Michigan Lottery.
Waived bids and approved the purchase of 13,690 gallons of Winter Blend diesel fuel from Hirschman Oil for $26,914.54 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on February 9, 2010.
Authorized increase to existing purchase order with Standard Electric Co. of Midland for the Collection System and Treatment Operations at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the amount of $10,000 bringing the total purchase order to $30,000.
Set public hearing on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed Zoning Text Amendment to Article 21.00.
