Accepted the ISC World Tournament Host Committee’s gift of field improvements at Currie Stadium.
Approved Final Plat of Countryside Estates No. 3.
Supported the City Attorney’s Freedom of Information Act denial as issued on May 20, 2010.
Approved the purchase of property tax foreclosed properties at 1606 Jefferson and 1514 Jefferson.
Made Traffic Control Order P-10-07 permanent – parking shall be prohibited on Willow Street from Beech Street to the south end of Willow Street.
Accepted resignation of Charles McFarlane from the Board of Review.
Appointed Timothy McMann to the Board of Review for a term expiring April 30, 2011 and Carl Coons for a term expiring April 30, 2012.
Appointed Patricia Keeler to the Dial-A-Ride Advisory Commission as the Midland County Council on Aging Representative for a term expiring June 30, 2013.
Approved Negotiated Contract Settlement between the City of Midland and the Midland Police Command Group/Police Officers Labor Council.
Authorized execution of Recycling Collection Agreement with Republic Services of Northern Michigan for a five-year period commencing on August 1, 2010, at a rate of $2.20 per unit per month.
Waived bid requirements and approved purchase of 12,403 gallons of diesel fuel from C.F. Fick & Sons for $25,686.61 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on June 8, 2010.
Authorized execution of contract with Keyes Trenching, LLC of Freeland, Michigan for the 2010 Wackerly Water Main Improvement; Contract No. 4, in the amount of $78,847.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Consumers Energy for electrical Infrastructure upgrades at the Landfill site in the amount of $100,000 and waived bid requirements and authorized issuance of purchase order to Newkirk Electric Associates, Inc. of Muskegon, Michigan for underground electrical infrastructure installation related to the GTE Gas Collection & Control System project in the amount of $24,000.
Authorized issuance of purchase order in the amount of $150,876 to Carmeuse Lime of Pittsburgh, PA for up to 1,200 tons annually of Calcium Oxide, at a contract unit cost of $125.73 per ton, including freight.
Authorized issuance of purchase order in the amount of $62,100 to LCI Ltd of Jacksonville Beach, FL to provide up to 92 tons annually of Hydrofluosilicic Acid, at a unit cost of $675 per ton, including freight.
Authorized issuance of purchase orders in a total aggregate amount of $210,000 to Kemira Water Solutions, Inc. of Lawrence, KS for the purchase of 250 tons each of Ferric Chloride for the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, at a per ton price o $420 , including freight.
