Held public hearing and approved 2010-11 Landfill Fund budget amendment for the purchase of real property at 3601 N. Rockwell Drive.
Authorized execution of a deed for the sale and transfer of City property located at 716 Gordon Street.
Authorized execution of Housing Construction Agreement with Midland Public Schools, Jennifer A. Gentile and the ARC of Midland for a joint construction project at 1311 W. Union Street.
Authorized execution of Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreements.
Waived bid requirements and approved purchase of 13,700 gallons of diesel fuel from Hirschman Oil of Reece, Michigan for $29,578.30 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on July 27, 2010.
Waived bid requirement and authorized purchase of electronic online services and staff training for the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library from the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services for the 2010-11 fiscal year in an amount not to exceed $55,000.
Waived bid requirement and authorized the purchase of automated services for the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library from Valley Library Consortium for the 2010-11 fiscal year in an amount not to exceed $90,000.
Waived bid requirement and authorized purchase of electronic online services and materials for the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library from Gale of Farmington Hills, MI for the 2010-11 fiscal year in an amount not to exceed $55,000.
Authorized execution of contract with Sova Excavating and Trucking, Inc. for the 2010 Ashman Street Reconstruction and Sanitary Sewer; Contract No. 8, in the amount of $637,435.
Canceled existing contract with E-quip Company, Inc. of Alto, MI and authorized issuance of annual purchase orders to Bio Tech Agronomics of Benzonia, MI in the amount of $64,570 for Water Treatment Residuals to Land Application Hauling, Bid No. 3234.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Gerace Construction of Midland, MI for Wastewater Treatment Plant – Aluminum Handrails, Bid No. 3279, in the amount of $35,500.
Set public hearing for Monday, August 23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed amendment to the 2010-11 Municipal Service Center budget for the purchase of brine-making equipment.
Set public hearing for Monday, September 13, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Text Amendment No. 151.
Set public hearing for Monday, August 23, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed Brownfield Redevelopment Plan #5.
Set public hearing for Monday, August 23, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed Brownfield Redevelopment Plan #6.
Directed City Clerk to notify the County of Midland of the intent of the City Council to consider a resolution on August 23, 2010, that authorizes the submission of an application to the Michigan Strategic Fund for a Renewable Energy Renaissance Zone within the Michigan Operations of The Dow Chemical Company.
