MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL

A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, December 6, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Donker presided with all Councilmen present.

Received and referred requests for capital projects to the Engineering Department for consideration of inclusion in the 2011 Construction Program.

Received and filed the 2010 Construction Progress Report.

Recommended approval of request to transfer ownership and location of an escrowed Class C licensed business, located at 5103 Eastman, from B.B. Banucks to Waterfall Grill, 337 E. Wackerly.

Received and filed the 2009-2010 Cable Access Advisory Commission Annual Report.

Appointed J. Dee Brooks to the Midland Area Emergency Medical Board.

Authorized execution of contract with John E. Green of Saginaw, Michigan for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Pipe and Valve Replacement Phase III, Bid No. 3294, in the amount of $338,200.

Authorized increase of $15,000 to purchase order to CTI and Associates, Inc. of Wixom for general engineering services for the Landfill, bring the total purchase order to $35,000.

Authorized increase of $8,000 to purchase order to CTI and Associates, Inc. of Wixom for engineering services for the truck scale and access road project at the landfill, bring the total purchase order to $28,000.

Set a public hearing on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 573 – rezoning property located at 800 Commerce Drive from Larkin Township Zoning to Community Commercial Zoning.

Set a public hearing for Monday, December 20, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed amendment to the 2010-11 City budgets and financial working plans to provide funding for June 30, 2010 encumbrances.
