A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, March 12, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Donker presided with all Councilmen present.
Proclaimed April 27, 2012, as Arbor Day in the City of Midland.
Held public hearing and approved request from CPI Engineering Services, Inc. for an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate.
Denied resolution directing City Manager to prepare a report on the 2012 Sidewalk Improvement Program. (Yeas: None Nays: Adams, Brooks, Brown, Donker, Wazbinski)
Authorized execution of Easement Agreement for Overhead Electric Line on City owned property for service to Superior Metal Recycling, LLC.
Approved changes to the Cemetery Rules.
Received and filed the Annual Review of Liquor Licenses Report.
Approved request to transfer ownership and location of escrowed liquor license from Café Tandoori to El Patron.
Approved final plat of Pinehaven Estates.
Made Traffic Control Order No. S-11-10 permanent – Plumtree Lane shall stop for Countryside Drive.
Approved request to conduct Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Accepted and ordered recorded an Easement Agreement for public water mains on private property at the Airgas USA, LLC site.
Accepted and ordered recorded an Easement Agreement for public water mains on private property at the Panera Bread site.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Lawns and Mower LLC of Midland, Michigan in the amount of $12,000 for the remainder of the 2011-12 fiscal year for park mowing services and an additional purchase order in the amount of $30,000 for the months of July through October 2012.
Waived bid requirement and approved purchase of 12,801 gallons of diesel fuel from Karbowski Oil of Bay City, Michigan for $38,774.23 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on February 23, 2012.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Inland Waters of Brownstown, Michigan in the amount of $52,946 for Trenchless Sewer Repairs, Bid No. 3405.
Set public hearing for Monday, April 9, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoning Petition No. 578 – rezoning property located at 215 State Street, 614 and 709 E. Larkin Street and 608 E. Ellsworth Street from Regional Commercial zoning to Downtown zoning.
Set public hearing for Monday, March 26, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed amendment to the Downtown Development Authority Tax Increment Financing Plan.
