MIDLAND CITY COUNCIL
A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Donker presided with all Councilmen present.
Held public hearing and approved Conditional Use Permit No. 44 – Culver’s Restaurant with a drive-through, located at 7300 Eastman Avenue in a Regional Commercial zoning district.
Held first reading of an ordinance amending Section 21-73 – General Recreation Fees.
Accepted grant from The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation for replacing a pavilion at Emerson Park.
Confirmed the appointment of Paul Barbeau and David Kell to the Downtown Development Authority board.
Waived bid requirement and approved purchase of 10,002 gallons of unleaded fuel from Hirschman Oil of Reese, Michigan for $24,634.93 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on December 20, 2012.
Waived bid requirement and approved purchase of 13,400 gallons of diesel fuel from Hirschman Oil of Reese, Michigan for $40,803 that was executed by the Purchasing Agent on December 20, 2012.
Authorized increase to existing purchase order with Central Concrete Placement in the amount of $8,850 for additional construction services - Water Distribution Cold Storage Building.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to ETNA Supply Co. of Grand Rapids, MI for inventory purchases of Water Fittings, Bid No. 3484, in the amount of $32,665.14.
Set public hearing for Monday, January 21, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. on a proposed amendment to the 2012-13 General Fund budget to recognize $45,000 additional revenue and appropriations for the replacement of the large pavilion at Emerson Park.
