A regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, July 22, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Wazbinski presided.

Approved annexation of property located at 1111 North Vance Road from Homer Township through the joint resolution process.
Endorsed efforts of a local taskforce to obtain recognition from the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging as a “Community for a Lifetime”.
Accepted resignation of Clinton Struthers from the Center City Authority.
Authorized the issuance of separate purchase orders for design engineering and construction engineering services to Rowe Professional Services Company for the Airport Road Bridge over Sturgeon Road Rehabilitation.
Authorized execution of contract with Central Asphalt, Inc. of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan for the “2013 Cook & Bay City Road Reconstruction; Contract No. 6”, in the amount of $102,176.10.
Authorized execution of contract with Pyramid Paving Company of Bay City, Michigan for the “2013 Local Street Reconstruction, Contract No. 9”, in the amount of $347,404.35.
Authorized the issuance of purchase order to A-Turf of New York, New York for the purchase and installation of turf at the Midland Civic Arena in the amount of $67,490.
Authorized increase of $90,000 to existing purchase order to Earthmovers of Midland, LLC for Contractual Repair Services for the balance of this calendar year, bringing the total purchase order to $110,000.
Authorized issuance of purchase order to Michigan Pipe & Valve of Saginaw, Michigan for inventory water fittings, in the amount of $28,292.11.
Set public hearing for Monday, August 12, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. on Conditional Use Permit No. 47 – 1013 East Pine Street.
