Midland County Sports Hall of Fame

The Midland County Sports Hall of Fame, located at the Midland Civic Arena, was established to honor athletes, sports persons, coaches, administrators and benefactors who have made a significant impact on Midland sports programs.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2008 Hall of Fame. The deadline to nominate someone for this prestigious honor is Monday, June 16 by 5 p.m. Use the form below to submit a nomination.

To be considered for the honor, nominees must meet at least one (1) of the following criteria:

  • Resided, worked or competed in Midland County and made an oustanding contribution to sports in amateur, high school, college or professional ranks.

  • Made outstanding contributions to sports either as an athlete, sports person, coach, administrator or benefactor.

  • Displayed exemplary service in the field of coaching.

  • Teams that have won state, regional, national or international championships.

Nomination Form

Fill out the form below completely, then select the Submit button to send to the Midland Parks and Recreation Department. If you wish to change the information before it is submitted, select the Reset button to clear all form fields and start the process over.

In the "Synopsis" field, please provide the equivalent of a one-page synopsis of the outstanding achievements of the nominee. Information should include the duration of the person's career, significant contributions made, and individual awards or honors. (Awards must be documented.) This information may be accompanied by scrapbooks or other supporting documentation; these materials may be mailed to or dropped of at the Midland Parks and Recreation Department, 4811 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, MI 48640.
