Three Free Collection Has Begun
The City's three weeks of free yard waste collection began Monday, October 5, 2009. For more information about the program, see below.
What's Three Free? For a three-week period each spring and
fall, leaves and other yard waste is collected at no charge.
During this specified period of time, the City suspends the 25-cent per bag sticker
typically required on yard waste bags.
Yard waste is collected curbside
on your regular weekly refuse collection day. Yard waste must be placed in kraft paper compost bags or 95-gallon yard waste bins
before being set at the curb.
Collection Specifics: Yard waste includes
grass clippings, leaves, garden wastes and small twigs and branches. Large
brush, large tree branches, soil and sod, stone, and treated wood are just a few of
the items that would NOT be considered acceptable yard waste. For more on the
City's yard waste collection program, click here.
