I have an ash tree in my outlawn that has not been marked. When will it be marked?
With more than 4,000 trees to mark, the City of Midland is systematically marking trees. We expect to have this process complete by the spring of 2012.

My outlawn tree is marked for treatment, and I would like it removed.
The City of Midland owns the outlawn trees and has the sole responsibility for determining if the tree should be removed or treated. Based on our evaluation criteria,
your tree is a good candidate for our treatment program. Trees
marked for treatment will be re-evaluated every 2-3 years.

Replacement trees are planted in the spring or fall as nursery stock is available. At this time, we have limited nursery stock.

Can I pick the type of tree I would like to have planted as a replacement?
The City will determine the right tree for the right location. The City purchases trees on a bid basis, so the species available may vary from year to year.

Will the City evaluate or remove ash trees on my personal property?
The City does not evaluate, trim, or remove any trees on private property. Please consult the
Yellow Pages under "Tree Service" for assistance with your private property trees.
